Since 1997, Garorock has captured the hearts of many a rock fan. The proof is in the pudding: every year, some 40,000 spectators turn out for the festival. In 2010, the record was even broken with over 50,000 festival-goers, compared to 41,000 in 2009. And with good reason: that year, Garorock welcomed artists such as Nouvelle Vague, Archive, Crookers, Pony Pony Run Run, Wax Tailor, Sepultura, Ghinzu and The Bloody Beertroots.
As a result of such high attendance, the festival decided to add a fourth stage for its 15th anniversary in 2011... Another new development was that the organizers chose to move Garorock. The festival therefore left the Parc des Expositions for the Plaine de la FilholeinMarmande. In addition, the date was pushed back by two months. Whereas it used to open the festival season on the first weekend of April, Garorock is now held at the end of June.
In 2025, the festival made its comeback from July 3 to 6 at the Plaine de la Filhole, with a host of talented artists, including Black Eyed Peas, The Black Keys, Damso, DJ Snake, Gazo, J Balvin, Hoshi, Jungeli, The Last Dinner Party, Rilès, and Meute.Garorockhas now announced its return next summer and looks forward to welcoming festival-goers from Friday, June 26 to Sunday, June 28, 2026, with a warm-up on Thursday, June 25.
On the programming front, Garorock is once again pulling out all the stops to delight music lovers. Get ready for a stellar lineup next summer, including the Bigflo & Oli duo, the rock band Last Train, rapper PLK, the rising star Theodora, the legendary Gims, Swiss artist Mosimann, Australian Timmy Trumpet, and British singer Tom Odell.
