Since 1997, Garorock has captured the hearts of many a rock fan. The proof is in the pudding: every year, some 40,000 spectators turn out for the festival. In 2010, the record was even broken with over 50,000 festival-goers, compared to 41,000 in 2009. And with good reason: that year, Garorock welcomed artists such as Nouvelle Vague, Archive, Crookers, Pony Pony Run Run, Wax Tailor, Sepultura, Ghinzu and The Bloody Beertroots.
In short, with such crowds, the festival decided to add a fourth stage for its 15th anniversary in 2011... Another change: Garorock moved locations. The festival left the Parc des Expositions for the Plaine de la Filhole in Marmande. Moreover, the dates were shifted two months. Whereas it used to kick off the festival season on the first weekend of April, Garorock is now held at the end of June.
In 2026, the festival returned to the Plaine de la Filhole, but the edition was disrupted by bad weather. Thus, the warm-up on Thursday, June 25 was canceled, as were the events on Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28. PLK, Tom Odell, Kaytranada, Gims, Theodora, Synapson and Maureen were among the artists unable to perform.
But festival-goers can rest easy: Garorock will indeed return in 2027 with a new edition, to be held from Friday, June 25 to Sunday, June 27, 2027. While waiting to discover the full lineup, Garorock has announced that David Guetta will perform in Marmande on June 27, closing the event.
