Regarded as one of France’s premier music festivals, the Main Square Festival, created in 2004, owes part of its success to the Grand-Place in Arras, where the festival took place for seven years. During those seven years, festival-goers could admire a Grand-Place regarded as a uniquely European architectural ensemble. At the time, this historic site could host around 30,000 people a day. The Main Square Festival already welcomed on this iconic venue headline acts such as Muse, Coldplay, Depeche Mode, Radiohead, and Placebo.
Since 2010, the Main Square Festival has been held at the Vauban Citadel of Arras, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This new venue has helped the festival increase its capacity to around 40,000 festival-goers.
After a landmark edition in 2026, featuring performances by Katy Perry, Orelsan, Twenty One Pilots, Charlotte Cardin, Cassius, and Paul Kalkbrenner, the Main Square announces its return in 2027 for its 23rd edition!
Yet again, the festival in the North of France is set to have its devoted regulars dancing for three straight days of festivities. Mark your calendars! The Main Square Festival invites you to Arras on Friday 2, Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 July 2027.
What about the 2027 lineup? It’s still early to reveal the full lineup, but the Main Square Festival has revealed its first headliner... And it’s David Guetta! The French electro star will be behind the decks on July 3, 2027, promising a particularly festive and danceable moment. For the rest of the program, stay tuned this autumn!
