Les Quais de Lutèce, the Parc Astérix hotel inaugurated

Parc Astérix 's range ofhotels continues to expand. After the two 3-star hotels: Les Trois Hiboux and La Cité Suspendue, each with 150 rooms. Since last year, Parc Asterix has taken us to the heart of Lutetia, with a new hotel even more upscale than its predecessors: a 4-star establishment built around a reconstruction of the Seine, called Les Quais de Lutèce.

After a few unforeseen events due to Covid, the famous hotel at the gates of the park was officially inaugurated on Wednesday June 23, 2021, in the presence ofAnne Goscini and Sylvie Uderzo. This is an opportunity for us to discover the adventures of little Dogmatix and his band ofIrreducibles in a prequel to the comic book version and on the small screen, coming very soon on France 4.

The inauguration was also an opportunity for us to rediscover the premises and visit its spacious, disability-friendly rooms overlooking the Seine.

The hotel's 150 rooms are housed in buildings typical of the period. Thierry Retif, who designed the scenography, based the hotel on the city's ancient theme. In the center, you'll find a cheerful, colorful city; in the west, a rural area where craftsmen practice their skills; and in the east, industrious, hard-working river transport.

Visitors find themselves immersed in an authentic, convivial atmosphere around the Sequana, the reconstructed Seine. The setting is worthy of a movie set, giving visitors a real sense of time travel, and instantly transporting them back to the blessed days of our Gaulish friends.

Each room, measuring around 30m2, can accommodate 4 to 5 guests in an environment that combines well-being and harmonious colors with hints of sienna, brown, beige and sand. Comfortable and functional, they offer modern amenities, including television, free Wi-Fi, telephone, dressing room and air conditioning.

This place, which looks to the past, has also been designed with the future in mind, thanks to the ecological commitment of its construction. Indeed, 70 m2 of solar panels installed on the roofs support the hotel's hot water production, and the wood elements and facades are sourced from sustainable, eco-responsible French forests.

In addition to the rooms, Les Quais de Lutèce also boasts a 300-seat restaurant offering buffet and table service, as well as a bar.

And here's an added bonus: all visitors staying in one of the hotels can enter the Park 30 minutes before the official opening. The Asterix and Obelix characters are also present in the hotels to greet visitors at breakfast time.
