For almost 20 years, there has been just one real hotel, the Trois Hiboux, right next to Parc Astérix. This hotel, whose decor has been completely redesigned to blend in with the surrounding nature, is adding 50 new rooms this year. The number of family rooms has risen from 100 to 150.
In 2017, the hotel also added a new restaurant, which has been expanded to offer more places to eat. Among the new features, the hotel now boasts a new convention and seminar center. Measuring 166 m2 with 3 modular meeting rooms ranging from 44m2 to 55m2, the venue will be able to accommodate groups.
But the novelties don't stop there, as in 2018 the park opened the first rooms of a new hotel named"La Cité Suspendue". As of April 2019, the hotel now boasts 150 rooms located just a few minutes' walk from the park. This hotel is made up of 3 villages representing the Cité's founding groups: that of the Druids, the Artists and the Potters.
Rooms are spacious and can accommodate families of 5. The décor is designed to provide a warm, authentic setting. The special feature of this hotel is that you never set foot on the ground, which is sacred. All movements are therefore made on footbridges...
A 3rd hotel is also planned for April 2020. Currently under construction, this project is called Quai de Lutèce. This hotel takes us back to the world of Asterix and Obelix. We're back in the era and setting of Uderzo's comics. In addition to its originality, this new hotel will also offer a seminar center, a SPA and a swimming pool!
In all, Parc Astérix will increase its capacity from 100 to 450 rooms in 3 years, to meet growing demand and appeal to visitors who come from afar or wish to spend several days there.
