With Tango y Tango, we are on the verge of immersion, of travel, towards South America and more precisely Buenos Aires, the ultra dynamic capital of Argentina. With the tango, traditional Argentinean dance, at the heart of the story, the show tells the Buenos Aires of our days.
On the dance floor, glossy to better wiggle in couple, various stories are played. Here, the couples provoke each other, search for each other, challenge each other, love each other. Juan dances, Jeanne would like to learn, Ada sings. All three evolve, the tango as a red thread, meet each other, disrupt the lives of each other. But also, they tell the story of their country, its wars, its military dictatorship, its revolutions, drawing the portrait of a territory that seems so far away, from the Théâtre du Rond-Point.
The show is directed by Marcial Di Fonzo Bo, who tells the story of his hometown through the emblematic dance of his hometown, played by Rebecca Marder, the actress currently starring in several films, including Mon Crime by François Ozon. He is accompanied by Santiago Amigorena, the writer and director, who tells the story of Argentina, with its joys and horrors, its defeats and victories and Philippe Cohen Solal, who signs the original music. Throughout the show the dancers Fernando Suels Mendoza, Maria-Sara Richter, Sabrina Amuchástegui, Fernando Andrés Rodríguez, Estefanía Belén Gómez, Eber Burger and Sabrina Nogueira lead the dance and take you, the audience, to the distant lands ofArgentina.
