After its success at the Théâtre Les Enfants du Paradis in the summer of 2024, the comedy Sherlock Holmes contre Conan Doyle returns to La Scène Parisienne from September 24, 2025. Written by Ophélie Raymond and directed by Renato Ribeiro, this creation explores the complex relationship between an author and his character, who has become more famous than he is.
The show imagines a confrontation between Arthur Conan Doyle and his illustrious detective Sherlock Holmes, who is tired of being trapped in a fiction he did not choose. The writer, weary of his hero, seeks to free himself from him, at the risk of seeing the boundary between reality and imagination crumble. This confrontation, both ironic and dramatic, draws the audience into a mind game where creation comes to life.
Serge Requet Barville plays Conan Doyle, alongside François Hatt, Delphine Husté, Valentine Riedinger, Christophe Som, and Maxime Bregowy. The set design, inspired by Victorian London, recreates the atmosphere of detective stories while introducing more dreamlike elements. Costumes by Léa Peixoto andJoséphine UF and lighting byAurélie Hafner accompany this passage between worlds.
Produced by Joueur Productions and La Scène Parisienne, the play is aimed at lovers of literature and mysteries, as well as those interested in the creative process and the power of the imagination. An original detective comedy to (re)discover on the Parisian stage from fall 2025.
The show can be seen at La Scène Parisienne from September 24 to December 24, 2025.
