As Simone Veil symbolically enters the Panthéon, alongside her husband Antoine, Camille, a young woman invited to talk about her on the radio, plunges back into her student memories. The result is an imaginary dialogue between Camille and Simone Veil, weaving together past and present, individual memory and collective history. This poetic face-off would question the way in which we appropriate a political and humanist heritage, and the ability to embody struggles in the contemporary world.

This show is aimed at audiences sensitive to engaged narratives, the transmission of memory and the place of women in political history. Fans of documentary theater, or of forms combining testimony, fiction and civic reflection, may find it particularly resonant. The narrative structure, based on an alternation between past and present, would fit in with a dynamic of embodied pedagogy, accessible from adolescence onwards. On the other hand, viewers looking for a linear narrative or a strictly biographical account might be put off by the sensitive, reflective approach adopted.
Actress Cristiana Reali, lead performer and co-writer of the text, has reportedly been nominated for the role at the Molières 2022 . She would share the stage with Noémie Develay-Ressiguier in a two-part score, highlighting the contemporary resonance of Simone Veil's struggles. The May 12 performance would be part of the closing ceremony of the Paroles Citoyennes festival , which each year presents committed texts combining theater and civic reflection.
