From June 25 to July 19, 2025, the comedy Tapis jaune takes up residence at À la Folie Théâtre. A New Year's Eve in 1970, surprising guests and disturbing gifts: a funny, fast-paced play to discover all summer long.

Scheduled to take place at La Grande Folie, the main venue of La Folie Théâtre in Paris's 11th arrondissement , Tapis jaune is a festive, slightly offbeat comedy imagined and directed by Étienne Fraday. From June 25 to July 19, 2025, every evening from Wednesday to Saturday at 9 p.m., audiences will discover a play full of misunderstandings, situational humor and vintage ambiance, at the heart of a New Year's Eve like no other.

It's 1970, in a newly renovated apartment decorated with the latest technology. Nicole and Daniel are hosting a New Year's Eve aperitif. The mood is light-hearted until Nicole, in search of surprises and thrills, decides to spice up the evening with a series of unexpected gifts. Very quickly, the exchanges turn into a disguised settling of scores, the smiles freeze, and the Yellow Carpet, symbol of a chic interior, becomes the scene of a series of revelations and comical discomforts. The retro decor and costumes by Joffrey Bonal reinforce the deliciously dated atmosphere of this gritty comedy.
