As France keeps on exiting containment, cultural places are getting ready to resume; This is the case for the Paris Catacombs, a true maze in the heart of underground Paris, a unique site of former career galleries. Open to the public since 1809, the world’s biggest ossuary houses the remains of million of Parisians as Paris cemeteries closed.
As lockdown is being lifted, the Paris Catacombs aim at reopening from June 16th, 2020. Before closing, this iconic place in Paris, very coveted by tourists, fit the ongoing measures by limiting gatherings and entries that have been limited ot 80 people. For its reopening, the place will have to adapt to the health instructions.
June 16, 2020 will be confirmed depending on the evolution of the situation. We expect to know more about conditions to visit the catacombs, such as wearing a mask, using hand sanitizer, social distancing and even access regulations.
