Immerse yourself in the vibrant, bewitching world of Parisian boutique Lemaire, transformed for the occasion into a veritable gallery of trendy art.
Born in 1979 in New Guinea, Noviadi Angkasapura has been deeply influenced by this island, where multicultural influences and animist imaginings have forged his imagination. For Lemaire's spring-summer 2023 collection, his original works come to life in the rue Elzévir boutique in Paris. More thantwenty unique drawings are on display, or illustrated in bold prints that adorn the collection's garments.
Noviadi Angkasapura's drawings captivate the eye with their hallucinatory dimension, blending humor and disquiet with Hindu evocations and fascinating mythologies. Under his pencil, strange fantastical creatures come to life in a spirit that is sometimes ultra-deco, sometimes childlike.
With this phantasmagorical exhibition, Lemaire aims to offer visitors to his 4th arrondissement showroom an immersive experience: a veritable environment where fashion and art meet in harmony.
