The spirit of genius Leonardo da Vinci is honored at an exhibition in Rueil-Malmaison. From January 17 to May 12, 2024, the Atelier Grognard unveils nearly a hundred scale models of his innovative inventions conceived during the Renaissance.

Just a stone's throw from the Château de la Malmaison, theAtelier Grognard ishosting an exhibition from January 17 to May 12, 2024 on a genius of his time, Leonardo da Vinci, both painter and inventor, who single-handedly revolutionized the Renaissance. Having already visited a number of cities, this unique presentation of 90 scale models is now coming to the French capital, inviting us to (re)discover the inventions of the Italian, who was ahead of his time.

Formerly an engraving factory, the Atelier Grognard, built in the 19th century at the height of the Belle Époque, seems an appropriate setting for this historic exhibition on the ingenuity of Leonardo da Vinci. Conceived from the sketches of the genius who left us over 6,000 pages of notes and drawings, these models were made by passionate historians, engineers and carpenters in 2015, and materialized for the first time, in a tour combining science and history.

Visitors will be able to observe the models and mechanisms, for a glimpse of Leonardo da Vinci's genius echoing contemporary inventions (lifting techniques, metallurgy, the art of warfare). We're promised a fun and educational exhibition, suitable for the whole family.
