And why not make the most of Paris Art Week by stepping into the galleries of the Matignon Saint-Honoré district? On Monday, October 19, 2026, the Matignon Saint-Honoré Nocturne returns for a third edition, turning the neighborhood into a vast artistic circuit.
From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., the public will be able to freely explore the exhibitions and events offered by 38 galeries, in an atmosphere designed for both art lovers and the merely curious. For the second consecutive year, the evening is among the partner events d’Art Basel Paris.
For the occasion, the Matignon–Saint-Honoré area will be temporarily closed to traffic, making way for two open-air performances planned along the route.
At the crossroads of Matignon Avenue and Faubourg Saint-Honoré Street, Mathieu Forget, aka “The Flying Man,” will unveil a piece crafted especially for the event. A dancer, photographer and performer, he explores movement, levitation and architecture to make bodies appear to defy gravity.
Just steps away, in front of Christie’s, the visual artist Amélie Caussade, whose practice blends sculpture, textiles, costume and movement, will pay tribute to Sophie Taeuber-Arp. Performers will circulate among the visitors, wearing masks and costumes specially designed for the evening.
Another throughline of this edition is Jacques Grange's picks, the Nocturne’s patron. The renowned decorator, who has worked with Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, François Pinault or Catherine Deneuve, selected ten works to seek out along the course, marked with macarons in the galleries. A playful way to guide visitors through the highlights of Picasso, Miró, Keith Haring, Giacometti or Lee Krasner.
Through this Nocturne, the Matignon Saint-Honoré Association aims to showcase the neighborhood's artistic wealth and highlight the diversity of its galleries. An evening to wander like a stroll, weaving through galleries, performances, and discoveries, right in the heart of Paris Art Week 2026.
