Unusual: take part in the 1st edition of the Mériel Soap Box Race (95)

Attention driving enthusiasts... without an engine! On Sunday, October 5, 2025, the town of Mériel(Val-d'Oise, 95), in partnership with Les Épopées de Kraven and Villiers-Adam, is stepping on the gas (so to speak) for the 1st edition of its Race de Caisses à Savon! There's no turbo or nitro here, just slop and a healthy dose of creativity to propel your customized car to the finish line.

How to get on the starting grid :

• Build your own car: a body without an engine, but with style! (Folklo preferred)
• Build your own team: 1 or 2 drivers per car, with pushers to get you started.
• Register now: €20 per participant (license and insurance included).

See you on Saturday, October 4 for the technical inspection of the cars, and then on Sunday, October 5 for the famous downhill race (times to be announced)! Start in front of the Mériel cemetery, on the D9 (road cut off to the bridge under the RN184).
Not on the track? Be in the grandstand! Come and watch the department's craziest machines hurtle down the slope, and cheer on the daredevil riders.
