The Fête à Neuneu 2022: the funfair returns to Paris Bois de Boulogne

The Fête à Neuneu is the funfair to enjoy this Fall at the Bois de Boulogne. From September 2 to October 16, 2022, the Fête à Neuneu gives the Bois de Boulogne a festive and cheerful atmosphere.

Created in 1815 by Napoleon I, the Fête à Neuneu is a funfair taking place in Paris 16th arrondissement in the area of the Bois de Boulogne. The name “Neuneu” is said to come from the city of Neuilly but over time the French word “neuneu” means ‘moron’. For two centuries and the decree of Napoleon dating from June 10, 1815, allowing this event, the Bois de Boulogne welcomes many attractions and fairground stands for children and many thrilling rides for adults. The Fête à Neuneu makes everyone see eye to eye.

In 1983, Marcel Campion negociates with Paris mayor for a field in the Bois de Boulogne to make the Fête à Neuneu rise again. This year will be the 39th edition then.

Every day, from September 2 to October 16, 2022, lots of carnies expect children and adults in green spaces to clear their minds with cotton candy, games of chance and of course renewed attractions.

If you want thrills, well, the Fête à Neuneu welcomes great rides! Thrills and delight are to be expected all along this festive and friendly event at the Bois de Boulogne.

For children, organizers planned dozens and dozens of merry-go-rounds and traditional animations such as mini-rollercoasters, flying chairs, Ferris wheel… as well as shows!

At the end of the day or during the weekends, there is nothing like the Fête à Neuneu to really unwind.

This year, the opening night lands on September 2, 2022, from 6 p.m. As per usual, a charity is given pride of place. This year: Cortex United. All profits of the admission fees will be donated to the charity helping "disadvantaged youth all around the world, giving them the means to thrive and build their own futures in their native region, to improve sustainable development".
