Did you know ? The Foire du Trône is recognized as the oldest funfair in France, with origins dating back to the time of Lothaire in 957. It wasn't until 1805 that a modest funfair first appeared in the faubourg Saint-Antoine. Over time, the fair grew in size and spread over the Pelouse de Reuilly, even reaching the surrounding streets and boulevards in the direction of the barrière du Trône.

In 1957, the fairground workers celebrated its 1,000th anniversary. In 1964, the fair found its home on the edge of the Bois de Vincennes and continues to attract crowds of young and old every spring, eager to enjoy the 350 attractions spread over more than 10 hectares on the Pelouse de Reuilly. Those with a sweet tooth gather in front of the stands offering treats such as candy floss, toffee apples, crepes, marshmallows, and churros. And as tradition dictates, the Foire du Trône is lit up with fireworks every year on Labor Day.
