The literary and thematic hotel Arthur Rimbaud pays tribute to one of the greatest French authors of poetry and literature.

But what exactly is a literary hotel? A literary hotel is a 4 star hotel dedicated to a writer that the Société des Hôtels Littéraires has brilliantly imagined, in order to make its visitors discover the work and the universe of the chosen author.

It is in the 10th district, rue Gustave Goublier, that theArthur Rimbaud hotel opened its doors. It is the fifth literary hotel in France, and the third literary hotel in Paris, after thehotel Le Swann dedicated to Marcel Proust in the 8th district, and thehotel Marcel Aymé, in the 18th district.

The decoration of this four-star literary hotel pays tribute to the writer who arrived at the Gare de l'Est from Charleville-Mézières in 1871 to meet Paul Verlaine. Like every literary hotel, it welcomes its visitors in a space that brings together manuscripts, works of art, period objects and contemporary creations related to the author.

So expect to learn a lot about Arthur Rimbaud during your stay in thehotel Arthur Rimbaud, either in your room with the library at your disposal, or in the common parts, thanks to the showcases which expose rare editions and original bindings .

Many events are also organized in the literary hotels, such as prizes, literary evenings, exhibitions, authors' signatures and shows.

A lot of culture!
