Maisons de Campagne, the relaxing experience at the Château de Villiers-Le-Mahieu

Welcome to the Château de Villiers-le-Mahieu, located in the Yvelines, a few kilometers from Thoiry Zoo, to discover all the activities, animations and other moments of relaxation offered by the very first establishment stamped Les Maisons de Campagne.

Les Maisons de Campagne is a unique experience launched by the hotel group Les Hôtels (très) Particuliers. The idea is to"reinvent green getaways, family weekends and corporate seminars". And one goal: to give priority to"pleasure and sharing to free guests from all constraints".

Golf, cinema, board games, bike rides, video games, pinball, billiards, spa, boat rides... so many activities offered for children and their parents to relax or simply enjoy the country life in an exceptional bucolic setting. An experience that the editors were able to test for a weekend, and that we particularly appreciated on many points.

First of all, it is preferable to choose an all-inclusive package which offers you total and really interesting access to all the activities and spaces of the castle. A weekend where you really feel "at home", with lounges where you can sit by the fire and where you can enjoy the bar at your disposal. You want to drink a soda, a beer, a cocktail, a glass of wine or the whole bottle if you are in a group? You just have to help yourself in the fridges and cupboards at your disposal. Everything is done to limit constraints and make you feel at home.

In the evening, you want to play a board game? That's possible too, they are available in the different rooms of the castle. Would you like to enjoy a movie? It's also possible, you just have to go to the cinema (a real one) and enjoy the movies while nibbling on popcorn. As for activities, it's the same spirit: a bike ride? They are available in the courtyard of the castle and will take you wherever you want in the domain.

If you want to play tennis or golf, it's all the same, just ask for access and equipment. Note that golf lessons for beginners, children or adults are also offered. As for the spa, you have to make an appointment, but access to the treatments, the swimming pool and the sauna, hammam and tropical shower is quite simple. We particularly appreciate the quality of the massages offered, a real moment of relaxation and well-being.

As far as the restaurant is concerned, the establishment offers various buffets or table services that are very pleasant, in a canonical space, with a half-wooden, half-industrial architecture. This is the real strength of the castle, which offers various simple and generous dishes, and a cuisine in tune with the times. Special mention to the pastry shop, the cherry on the cake of a most exquisite meal. Note that it is possible to organize picnics, a basket is prepared according to your desires. As for the rooms, they are quite classic, but very comfortable and offer you real nights of sleep.

On the other hand, it is important to specify that the castle welcomes individuals only on weekends, and certain holidays with bridges, the week being reserved for the seminars of companies which find all the comfort for one week far from the stress of the office.
