A stay and spa that the editors were able to try out. On the stay side, everything is done to make you feel at home, in a cocoon of well-being: attentive staff, bright, open lobby, ultra-comfortable armchairs... A perfect start to your stay. As for the rooms, they're very cosy, with huge beds (for one person, let's be clear, but still big enough for two), and a bathroom that's rather uncluttered in its furnishings, and quite warm. The mattress is a real blessing...
As for the common areas, note the large kitchen area, reserved for breakfast in the morning, but also for cooking masterclasses, in an ultra-functional space. It's simple, pretty and relaxing. On the kitchen side, all produce is fresh and local (with one or two exceptions), the house's aim being to make the most of local produce, as evidenced by the kitchen garden where most of the vegetables are used for the restaurant, as well as the eggs that the hens provide every morning. The establishment also works with several local producers, just 5km from the hotel.
And, of course, the food is divinely good, served in a variety of formats: "grignotage" (Italian aperitivo style) on Friday evenings, brunch on Sundays, "à la bonne franquette" during the week (dishes brought to the table, everyone helps themselves)... Everything is done to transform mealtime into a unique moment.
As for the activities on offer, our program allowed us to discover the culinary masterclass, in a small group. A moment of sharing with the in-house chef, and an opportunity to learn lots of cooking tips and tricks. For our part, the workshop involved preparing vegetarian ravioli with broccoli cream. Note that the dishes prepared are served afterwards at dinner, so you can live the experience to the full. We were also able to take part in a Nordic walking activity around the estate with our coach Kevin, who taught us the basics of Nordic walking, while proposing, in interludes, some physical exercises. It was a very fun and enjoyable way to get in shape early in the morning.
But the highlight of the experience was of course the spa, which we were also able to try out. As far as treatments were concerned, the "L'Inspiration" massage was programmed: a personalized massage, tailored to the customer's needs and expectations. To put it simply, before beginning the massage, the practitioner asks you to fill in a form, and then a moment of exchange enables her to better target your expectations and needs. Practitioners who also adapt to your body's tensions, with particular emphasis on tense areas (upper back, legs, etc.). An impeccable, truly relaxing customized massage, with practitioners who don't "stupidly" follow a protocol. For our part, we left feeling ultra-relaxed...
We also took part in a face yoga class with a practitioner who showed us, using a Gua Sha (an object used to "massage" areas of the face), how to do our morning facial and make our skin more beautiful. A great time too, with lots of tips on how to take care of our face. We were also able to discover the spa's facilities, namely the indoor pool, hammam and sauna. Great facilities to complete the experience!
As you can imagine, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A well-deserved break from the hustle and bustle of Paris.
