Fancy a burger out of the ordinary? Head to Disco Burgers in the 9th arrondissement, a stone's throw from Pigalle, to enjoy a variety of fully sealed burgers, rather like a pie. With toasted bread pressed to perfection, tasty toppings and a funky atmosphere, Disco Burgers is about to become your new gourmet addiction... We've tried it, and we'll tell you all about it!

In Paris's effervescent Pigalle district, culinary trends are constantly being born and reinvented. Among them, smash burgers have been making a splash on the Parisian scene in recent years. These burgers are smashed as they cook, releasing a symphony of flavors. So, what better way to give this trend a disco twist? From July 2023, Disco Burgers in the 9th arrondissement of Paris will be offering you its burger with a surprising twist... And with good reason: it's completely sealed, like a shoe (except that it's a burger!).

At the helm of this new concept are two childhood friends: Louis and Augustin. These two enthusiasts, with backgrounds in finance and hospitality respectively, were inspired by an innovative Korean idea and applied it to their favorite sandwich, the burger. After starting out in 2022 with stalls at corporate events and festivals, their Disco Burgers concept is now taking on a new dimension. A burger that reminds us of a Taiwanese specialty, Wheel Cake, to be enjoyed at 2D Atelier in Paris, for example.

Step inside Disco Burgers, located at 26 rue de Douai in the 9th arrondissement, and let yourself be carried away by the funky atmosphere. The decor is a delightful blend of retro and modern elements, with a sparkling touch of glitter. To accompany your burger, a hand-picked selection of beers and ciders is available for food lovers.

What sets Disco Burgers apart is their lightly sweetened brioche buns, toasted and pressed with a special machine. Goodbye leaky toppings and dripping sauces. The burgers are designed to lock all the ingredients inside for an explosion of flavors in the mouth.

The menu is varied. The classic"Bee Cheese" with beef, cheddar, onions, tomatoes, pickles and homemade sauce is a must. For those in search of an Italian touch, the"Italo Disco" with eggplant caviar, stracciatella, tomatoes and marinated zucchini will delight the taste buds.

Alternative diets are not forgotten. Vegetarians will be delighted with two vegetable recipes. As for carnivores, they'll delight in"Disco Delit", a sandwich imagined in collaboration with Délit sandwich shop and available since November 14, 2023. It features homemade roast chicken with smoked paprika mayonnaise, mustard seeds and red onion pickles.

Our Disco Burger test:

This is an address that the editorial team has obviously tested for you. And we're not going to lie, we were pleasantly surprised by the burgers, which are light years ahead of what other chains can offer. Here, the burgers are strangely light, not at all heavy on the stomach, so much so that you could eat two of them. As for burgers, we were tempted by the Bee Cheese, in its meat version, but also in its vegetarian version. Both burgers are well-balanced and have great flavors, with everything we love in a burger: the tender, medium-rare meat, the acidity of the pickles enhanced by the onions, and the tomato that adds a touch of freshness.

The vegetarian version is just as tasty, with the meat replaced by a homemade vegetable patty. But the real appeal of Disco Burger's creations lies in the fact that the sandwich is completely sealed, making it easier to eat. Gone are the days when the toppings just fall off when you bite into your burger: here, everything stays in place, at least for the first few bites. As a side dish, for a change from fries (which the house also offers), we opted for brioche bun offcuts fried in oil and accompanied by a melting stracciatella. Nothing goes to waste at Disco Burger!

And on the dessert side, we were tempted by the coffee cookie, which was surprising on the palate, but very pleasant and strangely low in sugar. In short, Disco Burger is a fine address in the 9th arrondissement, a welcome change from more "traditional" burger restaurants. Ideal for a takeaway lunch in fine weather... or to relax in the disco world of the restaurant on cold, rainy winter days. Discover it now!

Disco Burgers is THE new nugget in the Pigalle district. With its innovative toasted bread, sparkling ambience and tempting menu, this restaurant is a veritable ode to gourmet delights... So, why not drop in for a visit?
