Rahvusvahelise Naisteõiguste Päeva puhul tähistab Versailles loss naisi mitmesuguste temaatiliste ekskursioonidega, toimuma saab 3. kuni 8. märtsil 2026.
8. märts on iga-aastane eriline päev nii Prantsusmaal kui kogu maailmas. Rahvusvaheline naisteõiguste päeva tunnustati ametlikult ÜRO poolt juba 1977. aastal, kuid paljud riigid hakkasid seda tähistama juba 20. sajandi alguses. See teadlikkuse tõstmise ja tunnustuse päev kannab endas eesmärki esile tõsta võitlusi naiste võrdsete õiguste ning kaitse nimel üle kogu maailma. On aeg meenutada mineviku võitlusi, saavutatud õigusi ning neid, mida veel tuleb välja võidelda.
Igal aastal korraldatakse 8. märtsil Prantsusmaal ja kogu maailmas mitmeid üritusi. Meeleavaldused, streigid, miitingud, aga ka pidustused: see päev annab võimaluse tõsta esile naisi, olgu nad siis kunstnikud, aktivistid, leiutajad, teadlased, poliitikud...
Pariisis ja Île-de-France'i piirkonnas on kavas terve hulk üritusi. Mitte vähemasti Château de Versailles's, mis tähistab naisi omal moel.
Rahvusvahelise naistepäeva puhul korraldab Versailles’ loss mitmeid temaatilisi ekskursioone ajavahemikus 3. kuni 8. märts 2026. Selle nädala keskmes on mõjukad naisfiguurid, kes on jätnud jälje nii Prantsusmaa ajaloos kui ka Lossi ajaloos. See on heaks võimaluseks taasavastada neid ikoonilisi isiksusi, olgu nad siis kuningannad ja printsessid, kunstnikud, maalijad, lauljad või muusikud... Ära unusta eelretsepitada oma ekskursiooni juba ette.

For the general public
Guided tours on the themes of influential women of the Château and in spaces soon closed to visitors are scheduled for the week of March 3-6:
- Free guided tour - At the Queen’s favorites
On International Women’s Rights Day, visit the royal favorites’ apartments for free — these rooms also feature in the history and legends of Versailles. Accompanied by a student from the Louvre School, you will explore the spaces once inhabited by Madame de Pompadour and Madame Du Barry, just steps from Louis XV’s private chambers.

- Free guided tour - Marie-Antoinette in private
On International Women’s Rights Day, visit the private apartments of Marie-Antoinette for free and discover the intimate life of this tragic French queen. Accompanied by a student from the Louvre School, you will walk through her recently restored interior rooms on the first floor. A unique opportunity to explore her life and tastes!

Student-led activities
- Students from the Louvre School will offer several guided tours for groups of 10 over two days, focusing on influential women of the Château: Marie-Antoinette, Madame du Barry, Madame de Pompadour.
Multiple time slots will be available for free booking in advance.
- Actors from the Versailles Regional Conservatory of Dramatic Arts will perform letters and memoirs of notable women from Versailles
Saturday, March 7 — starting at 2 PM
Lower North stone gallery.
- On International Women’s Rights Day, March 8, 2026, the female statues in the stone gallery will come alive. Students from the Master’s program in Literary Research and Creation at the University of Versailles St-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ) will lend their voices to these heirs of the Kingdom of France, sometimes forgotten. Legend, history, fiction, and poetry intertwine to honor these women with frozen destinies, in verse and prose.
