Angelina and Luxembourg Museum know how to delight their clients’ taste buds with tasty, fine and elegant products. And they continue in this line by creating a pastry called “Vénitien” in tribute to the great Italian painter of the 16th century which works are currently exhibition through the exhibition Tintoretto, birth of a genius at the Musée du Luxembourg.
Angelina pastry chefs got inspired by Tintoretto’s paintings to create this magnificent treat made of a crispy almond, puffed rice, salt flower cookie and Pain de Gênes [Genoa bread], and when we bit it, this is when the magic happens: a light and gourmet compote as well as an orange and lemon cream and a delicate almond mousse are revealing themselves… Yummy! A sophisticated treat that pays tribute to the beautiful Venice, hometown of the artist (hence the name “Vénitien”, “Venetian” in English!)
This small corner of Venice is to be enjoyed in the very beautiful setting of Angelina tea lounge for €9.20 (and €7.50 on the go) until the end of the exhibition, on July 1, 2018. Since one stone kills two birds, you can be blown away at the museum and stuff your face at the café!
