Looking for some Epiphany Cake that changes from the traditional cakes? Those provided by Maison Aleph will delight you.
All year long, Maison Aleph offers Parisians and tourists to discover pastries made with traditional Levantine ingredients such as jasmine, sumac and even rose from Damascus, thanks to pastry chef Myriam Sabet’s know how.
For Epiphany 2020, Myriam Sabet doesn’t break the rule and came up with three Epiphany cakes you won’t be able to find anywhere else. Instead of the traditional flaky pastry used for French Epiphany Cakes, the chef went for phyllo pastry; and we can tell you that the different caramelized layers, cooked in clarified butter from Normandy, make us drool!
You can choose between three cakes, the iconic sesame cake, the surprising almond-orange blossom cake and the excellent Iranian pistachio cake. It’s so hard to choose with all these flavors!
The cakes will be available from December 26, 2019 as 5-6 servings, 8-10 servings or individual sizes.
Also note that there are two new offers at Maison Aleph for an afternoon break: the spice cake and the zaatar panettone, available now!
We love it!
