Pastry chef Philippe Conticini unveils his Epiphany Cake 2020, simple but oh-so hearty.

Friends, if you haven’t chosen the Epiphany Cake you’ll have for Epiphany 2020, wait until you discover the one created by a great pastry chef: Philippe Conticini.

For this Epiphany, Philippe Conticini chose subtlety and sobriety with a rather classic Epiphany Cake 2020 that is filled with very generous frangipane.

Here, almonds are grinded with their skin and bring a nice and toast-like flavor. The frangipane cream is light and low in sugar, it’s also flavored with vanilla and twisted with a drop of rum.

And the original think is the inverse puff pastry based on DPO Poitou-Charentes butter. So good!

As for the lucky charms, Philippe Conticini called in culinary art brand Degrenne and they created china charms depicting the chef. 10 of them will design the “super kings and queens” of the year who will win beautiful and gourmet surprises in store. And one very special charm will be the sesame to enjoy an exclusive experience with the chef!
