Hôtel Ami, a former post hotel beautified by Orso

Hôtel Ami has undergone a makeover under the aegis of Orso group and Danish designer Gesa Hansen. In a minimalist style, the hotel welcomes travelers in 41 bedrooms and a secret patio where you can toast.

It is in the heart of the 15th arrondissement, in the Saint-Lambert neighborhood that Hôtel Ami opened in a former post hotel from the 17th century after undergoing a makeover supervised by Orso group – already behind Hôtel Rochechouart.

Danish designer and indoor decorator Gesa Hansen has been entrusted with the minimalist look of the hotel, starting with the 1925 façade now displaying Art Déco curves at every window. Inside, the lobby opens onto a reception desk and bar inspired by Parisian brick, a great lounge with a central leather sofa and a breakfast room displaying a Bauhaus-inspired industrial style.

Covering 6 floors, the 41 bedrooms are very original, coming in light pink and beige tints: the “Petit Amie” bedrooms, very tiny but pretty, the “Bonne Amie” and “Grande Amie” bedrooms to share with your special other and the “Amie de Famille” bedrooms under the Paris rooftops. And the designer’s whim: a 20sqm suite under the Paris roofs, colored in crimson red with a big-sized bed for couples.

Definitely family-friendly, the Hôtel Ami provides games and costumes for children, connecting bedrooms to keep an eye on your little tribe. Last but not least, one last secret about the hotel, a patio covered in bricks where one can toast with friends over cocktails.
