Late May, Artisan de la Truffe family extended with the coming of a new address nestled in the heart of the Beaubourg area.
Set exactly at No.19 rue Rambuteau, this new gourmet place featuring 30 seats follows the same concept as its big brothers.
We find truffled classics by chef Arnaud Vachet such as risotto, tagliatelle, burger, croque-monsieur and even truffle “brouillade”.
There are dishes to share as well with boards of cheeses and charcuteries based on truffle of course as well as pizzettas.
But the place also has a menu with creations such as mushroom and truffle raviolis, and gilthead bream ceviche with truffle.
The tasting hasn’t started yet that we’re already drooling; the very nice scent of truffle can be smelled as soon as we come in the restaurant, thanks to its very lovely open-plan kitchen.
To start the meal, we let the very friendly waitress and we go for the salty open sandwich and a burrata from Apulia with truffle.
A bite is enough to satisfy my taste buds thanks to this white summer truffle delicately cut in fine slices and simply put on toasted slices of bread enhanced by truffled butter.
Here, the product is sufficient unto itself. The truffle is exquisite, and these toasts are enjoyed with much pleasure.
Across the table, the irresistible but also efficient Burrata from Apulia served with summer and colorful tomatoes.
Next, I go for a creation dish: the roasted yellow pollock perfectly cooked with its cockles, served with crunchy root vegetables and a beurre blanc with cockle juice.
As for my partner, he goes for the truffled poultry ballotine with its mixed vegetables and mashed carrots with truffle.
A feast for the eyes and the mouth, these two dishes are two beautiful feats offering a perfect balance between summer flavors and summer truffle.
Finally, I order the crème brûlée scented with truffle praline. What a treat.
On the other side, here goes the famous and classic coffee with gourmet desserts.
The bonus of this new address? Its small and sunny terrace.
Also note that the restaurant offers a lunch offer for €22 with at choice the truffled tagliatelle, or the truffle “brouillade” or even the croque-monsieur by Artisan, including a coffee or a tea with gourmet desserts.
And for foodies in a hurry, the restaurant offers you to take-away back home or to the office some of its best-sellers: salads, truffled sandwiches, as well as varied pasta recipes and risottos…
We don’t forget either the delicatessen corner where you can find the restaurant major items: cashews, chips, olive oil… the whole with truffle obviously!
