Gourmands and foodies, we have something for you! Atelier Mikki, a table in Paris 3rd arrondissement invites you to discover its… original flavors. The house’s specialty? A bold concept between crepe and maki. Let’s go, friends!

A unique street-food travel… This is what Atelier Mikki offers, a restaurant set in Paris 3rd arrondissement inviting to discover a bold cuisine between Japan and Brittany… And for good reason: the place highlights a very curious concept: between crepe and maki. How come? The traditional crepe is revisited and presented in an original fashion, sweet or savory. Buckwheat pancakes and crepes are rolled and plated like a Japanese maki.

Quality food likely to delight foodies and gourmands since Mikki creations are all based on the best ingredients, in line with the local economy and fair trade, coming from organic farming and from small producers thoroughly selected by the restaurant. Everything is homemade, with recipes respecting the books and the culinary constraints of all: gluten free, lactose intolerant, veggie, vegan… you have everything!

As for savory, recipes take over the culinary bases of the traditional Breton pancakes with buckwheat flour and sea salt among other, the whole completed with “iconic products” from the Japanese gastronomy: shiitake mushrooms, Daikon radishes, Ikura salmon eggs… Fine products by the Japanese books. As for sweet, we stay in France with traditional but revisited desserts: Paris-Brest, lemon meringue pie and other dishes twisted with a subtle Japanese note including yuzu or matcha tea to name a few.

A concept the editorial board tried and loved: the "maki" are beautiful, well plated, balanced and delicious on the palate, for a unique and well-thought mix of flavors. As for savory, we particularly enjoyed the Mikki with goat's cheese, spinach sprouts, walnuts, fig and buckwheat honey that gives some out-of-the-box freshness and very interesting crunch.
And for sweet, we have our hearts set on the Mikki with apple, salted caramel to die for!
Honorable mention to the Paris Brest, very fine in the mouth, as well as the buckwheat and gazpacho "chips" with a dash of wasabi.

In other words, a delicious hot spot to discover urgently! Let’s go, friends!
