Notice to the gourmets and gourmands! L'Atelier Mikki, a restaurant in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, invites you to discover its original flavors... The specialty of the house? A daring concept between the crepe and the maki! Shall we go there, friends?

An unusual journey in the street food... This is whatAtelier Mikki proposes, a restaurant located in the 3rd district of Paris and inviting to discover a daring cuisine between Japan and Brittany... And for good reason: the establishment puts forward a most curious concept, between the crepe and the maki. What does it consist of? The traditional pancake is here revisited and presented in an original way, salted or sweetened. The buckwheat pancakes or wheat pancakes are rolled, cut and presented in the form of a Japanese maki.

A quality cuisine that will undoubtedly delight gourmets and gourmands, since Mikki's creations are all made with the best ingredients, respecting the local economy and fair trade, from organic farming and from small producers carefully selected by the restaurant. Everything is homemade, with recipes that respect everyone's culinary practices and constraints: gluten free, lactose intolerant, veggie, vegan... We find everything!

On the salty side, the recipes are based on the traditional Breton galettes, with buckwheat flour or Guérande flower of salt, among others, and are enhanced with "iconic products" from Japanese gastronomy: Shitake mushrooms, Daikon radish, Ikura salmon eggs... fine products in the purest Japanese tradition. On the sweet side, we stay rather in France with a revisiting of traditional desserts from France: Paris-Brest, lemon meringue pie and other dishes to which are added a subtle Japanese touch, including Yuzu or Matcha tea, among others.

A concept that the editorial staff was able to test and loved: the "maki" are beautiful, well presented, balanced and fine in the mouth, for a unique and well thought out mixture of flavors. On the salty side, we particularly liked the Mikki with fresh goat cheese, spinach shoots, crushed walnuts, figs and buckwheat honey for its freshness, its flavors that stand out from the rest and its interesting chewiness. On the sweet side, our heart goes out to the Mikki apple caramel beurre salé which is a real hit! Special mention to the Paris Brest, particularly fine in the mouth, as well as the buckwheat "chips" and the gazpacho with a hint of wasabi.
