All December 2019 long, Grand Café d’Athènes, set in Paris 10th arrondissement, offers a new gourmet menu on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Comfortably seated on a bench seat, behind the large windows, or at the counter, for the most talk-active, or on the heated terrace, you’re rewarded for getting up early with a new breakfast offer to enjoy like in Greece.
On the menu, many good things: toasted farmhouse bread, fresh butter, mandarin marmalade, bougasta fresh out of the oven (a typical Greek pocket based on vanilla pastry cream and cinnamon), Greek yogurt and homemade apple/pear sauce, Greek granola with fresh fruits, honey and Greek yogurt and cake of the day.
For savory fans, options are countless: tomato eggs, feta and toasted farmhouse bread; Spanakopita (spinach and fresh herbs, pepper and feta pocket); Apaki from Corfu (thinly sliced and dried pork fillet mignon), 6-month aged feta with thyme honey and oregano…
You can pair it all with spicy hot chocolate or vitamin-packed lemonade and we’re ready to kick off Saturday and Sunday!
