Tour Auto Optic 2000 launching at Paris Grand Palais

The Tour Auto Optic 2000 returns from September 1 to 5. This 2011-kilometer rallye on French roads is said to bring 210 racers from Paris to the Circuit Paul Ricard. Parisians are expected this Monday August 31 at the Grand Palais for the presentation of cars, including some very rare specimens in the world, right before the go-ahead of this race!

Meet this Monday August 31, 2020 at Paris Grand Palais for the go-ahead of the 29th Tour Auto Optic 2000. On the road for six days of pure joy in the heart of France.

Major event for passionate and connoisseurs, the Tour Auto Optic 2000 is one of the greatest event in terms of automobile. Once again, over 200 ultra-rare cars will leave Paris for five days of discoveries on the French Road, and 2,140 kilometers, paced by timed challenges on trakcs and closed sections (rallye). Official start of the rally is given at the Autodrome Linas-Montlhéry. For five days, racers will face off one another on four tracks (Nevers Magny-Cours, Charade, Lédenon and Paul Ricard) and ten special challenges.

Every year, famous automaker or kind of cars is given pride of palce. This 29th edition will give pride of place to Porsche with prototypes of the Porsche 550 Spyder, 356 Carrera Abarth 1600, 356 Carrera Abarth 2000, 904 GTS, 910, 906 and 907.

And unifying event part of the Tour Auto, the presentation of cars within the Grand Palais. Theater of the first Salon de l'Automobile in 1901 and until 1961, we can't count how many renown fairs fight over this exceptional venue, perfect setting to highlight art items, fashion shows and... collector's cars.
