From July 4 to 26, 2026, the Grande Boucle returns with a new edition starting in Barcelona! The race will consist of 21 stages covering a distance of 3,333.7 kilometers. What's on the menu? Seven flat stages, four hilly stages, eight mountain stages, two time trials, and two rest days, promising intense days in the height of summer and thrills for cycling fans.
The race will once again leave France for Spain, for the third time in the history of the Tour. A 19 km team time trial will kick off the 2026 Tour in Barcelona, something that hasn't happened since 1971. As for the finish, it will of course take place on the Champs-Elysées, and the final stage will once again pass through Montmartre. The highest point of the route this time will be the Col du Galibier ( 2,642 m) on the 20th stage.
