European Swimming Championships: schedule & times for the diving and high-diving events

From July 31 to August 8, 2026, traditional diving and the spectacular high diving will take center stage at the European Swimming Championships. Between the Olympic pool in Saint-Denis and the natural setting along the Seine, the continent’s top divers will take to the boards for jaw‑dropping acrobatic feats.

This is arguably the most visual and impressive discipline of these European Swimming Championships in Paris, with the traditional diving kicking off the celebrations at the Olympic Aquatics Centre (CAO) in Saint-Denis, from Friday, July 31 to Thursday, August 6 2026, before the high-diving event on the Seine, August 7 and 8 next.

From the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards—or the famed 10-meter rigid platform—the divers launch themselves solo or in synchronized pairs. Spins and entry into the water flawless, with not a single splash: the competition is shaping up to feature razor-shin battles.

But the main attraction of this edition lies in the high diving (High Diving), which will take up residence in the very heart of the capital, directly in the waters of the Seine. Launched from vertiginous platforms fixed at 20 metres high, the divers will reach peak speeds approaching 90 km/h before impact, on the Bir-Hakeim Bridge, in front of the Eiffel Tower.

An extreme discipline, ultra-spectacular and 100% adrenaline-guaranteed, offering spectators a postcard-perfect backdrop on the quays. Between the surgical precision of CAO diving and the daring high-flying feats in natural settings, the crowd will be treated to a visual feast. A double showdown not to be missed by thrill-seekers and lovers of aesthetic prowess!
