The Castle Triathlon Series was back in France with the Triathlon du Château de Chantilly, on the sunny weekend of August 24 and 25, 2019. Just before going back to school or work, athletes met in a beautiful setting, the Domaine de Chantilly, for 7 types of races: triathlon, marathon, semi-marathon, 10K, duathlon, swim bike and swim run. The choice was all theirs and warrios or even more modest fans wishing to run across the aisles of the famous Domaine de Chantilly were happy.
The Triathlon is the unique and original occasion to swim in the pools of the castle but not only. As occasional rinners, we took up the 10k and the half-marathon, more accessible for us but we discover the sublime venue and the wonderful organization of the different races that spanned smoothly. And next year, we're already planning to try the bike or swim race. Anyway, with the heat, jumping in the pool seemed much easier.
Racers had the honor to run the magnificent places that show the prestigious historic heritage. If the triathlon attracted runners a long time, you can now enjoy the setting to enjoy some fresh air and get motivated for the new year to come with the sport you enjoy the most. As for me, I've had the chance to enjoy a yoga session in the large tipi especially set up on the occasion.

Once again, Triathlon du Château de Chantilly thought on a big scale for this edition 2019. We have then – without any surprise – all the main legs of the previous editions such as “Le Chantilly”, the most popular race of the even or even “Le Gantelet” – a Half Ironman for the boldest and most experienced runners.
Racers suiting all ages and performance levels will be available this weekend and it’s one of the rare long distanced triathlon set less than one hour from Paris!
Triathlon du château de Chantilly has the special characteristic to bring together all age categories. Budding champions will have nothing to envy to adults and will be timed with the same professionalism.
It’s then in a family atmosphere that this competition will take place, children and adults will even have the chance to give the best of themselves. They even enjoyed castles and climbing walls set up for them.
Main and very awaited leg of the Chantilly Triathlon, the Gantelef (half distance) that raised everyone's admiration. Athletes went for a 1.9k swim, 90k bike and 21k race in the harsh heat. This year, Sam Pictor is once again the winner by completing the trail in 3h54 beating his own record by about 15 minutes. As for women it's Kate Mactear who wins in 4h38.
Once again, congrats to all athletes!
