European Heritage Days program at the Seydoux Foundation:

The Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé Foundation hides behind a façade sculpted by Auguste Rodin in 1869. Architect Renzo Piano designed a five-story building covered in 5000 protective shutters to shelter the foundation recognized to be of public utility in 2006, its headquarters and museum working to preserve and put the historic heritage of the Pathé company available to the public.
- Live concert version of silent movies at 10:30 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
The Salle Charles Pathé devoted to silent movies all year round will present for these two days programs of short silent movies (about 40 minutes long) produced by Pathé at the debuts of the cinema. All sessions will be accompanied by piano performed by Jean François Zygel’s improvisation class students in partnership with the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris.
- Guided tours of the camera galleries, at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Discover the collection featuring 150 cinematographic cameras built between 1896 and the 1980’s, almost a century of technical evolution…. The visit will be commented by Anne Gourdet-Mares who’s in charge of the cameras and the instructive workshops at the Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé Foundation.
- Free tour of the collection gallery
