Every year, the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days ) kick off the new cultural season with an unmissable opportunity to discover France's finest treasures. This year, the date is set for the weekend of September 21 to 22, 2024. Numerous museums, monuments, châteaux and other cultural sites in Paris and the Paris region will be opening their doors to you free of charge, offering a wide range of events, guided tours and exhibitions.
Whetheryou're a family member, a friend, a couple or on your own, this major cultural event is a must. And with good reason: there's something for everyone! In 2024, the focus is on two unifying themes: " Heritage of routes, networks and connections " and " Maritime heritage ".
Once again this year, the general public is invited to join us on Friday, September 20, for the " Raise your eyes! Teachers and students of all ages are invited to discover the heritage of their region, and learn more about its preservation.
So, will you be conquering the castles of the Île-de-France region, wandering from museum to museum, immersing yourself in medieval Paris, or pushing open the doors of major institutions?
