The 43rd Heritage Days in Paris take place over the weekend of September 19–20, 2026. On this occasion, museums, monuments, castles and major institutions will throw open their doors to reveal the wealth and beauty of Île-de-France's heritage.
It's also a chance to rediscover the history of Paris's parks and gardens and of the entire Île-de-France, and to be surprised by tucked-away green corners. From the largest cemetery in Paris to the most beautiful castles, via the small secret gardens, here’s plenty to enjoy a breath of fresh air during these Heritage Days 2026!
Every year, the European Heritage Days give us the opportunity to visit the most beautiful sites in France and neighbouring countries, free of charge or at a reduced cost. This major cultural event is an opportunity to push open the doors of monuments usually closed to the public, or to rediscover those we thought we already knew by heart.
