For the 43rd edition of the event, scheduled for 19 and 20 September 2026, numerous government institutions will welcome you to glimpse the machinery of power, and above all to see how the ministries operate, with the minister at the helm and their diverse teams.
It's also a great opportunity to find out how the government works, and how it operates. Ministry of Justice, Ministry of the Armed Forces, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of the Economy, Matignon... So many facets of the governing team to discover, and perhaps to inspire a few vocations in the younger members of the family. Visits are also accompanied by numerous events and meetings.
And about this edition of the Journées du Patrimoine, it centers on the theme "The Heritage of Photography" and "Heritage in Peril." Note also that in a preview, on Friday, September 18, 2026, numerous events are planned for school groups across several programs, such as "Raise Your Eyes" or "Children of Heritage," in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports.
