Galeries Lafayette is the leader of these unmissable days. A vehicle for Parisian influence and taste throughout the world, the department store was opened on Boulevard Haussmann on January 15, 1894, and the Coupole was built in 1912. A veritable landmark of Art Nouveau Paris, Galeries Lafayette was quick to take advantage of contemporary artists, modernity and innovation, and since then has welcomed thousands of visitors every day.

The 2026 Heritage Days program at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann:

  • Discovering Galeries Lafayette on Boulevard Haussmann

During European Heritage Days, Galeries Lafayette invites you to see intangible heritage, contemporary creation, and the French art of living through a fresh lens. Under the store’s glass dome, you’ll be guided along a new route where craft, transmission, and creativity meet. An invitation to discover, through the works and encounters, the richness of métiers d’art, of traditions, and of this art of living that continues to inspire today’s artists.

This tour begins outside public hours and will offer a chance to learn more about the group’s commitment to contemporary artistic creation, notably through its program dedicated to applied arts, Savoir-Faire Savoir.
