On the occasion of Europe’s Heritage Days, September 19 and 20, 2026, the emblematic institution, currently undergoing renovations, is offering an unprecedented guided urban walk instead of the usual tour.
Far from the catwalks but still at the heart of creation, this stroll invites you to discover the couturier’s intimate Paris, through the places that shaped his world. A unique way to dive into the history of fashion and rediscover the capital’s discreet elegance, seen through the sharp eye of a master of couture.

  • Saint Laurent Rive Gauche: A stroll through Yves Saint Laurent’s Paris

    On September 19 and 20, the Yves Saint Laurent Paris Museum—currently closed for renovations—invites you to a guided urban stroll through the heart of Paris.

    Dive into the story of SAINT LAURENT rive gauche, a venture that reshaped fashion. On September 26, 1966, Yves Saint Laurent opened the first ready-to-wear boutique at 21 rue de Tournon in Paris’s 6th arrondissement. More than just a new address, it was a bold vision: ready-to-wear crafted with the same creative rigor and couture-level attention as haute couture.

    From rue de Tournon to rue Bonaparte, and on to the Cour Carrée of the Louvre where SAINT LAURENT rive gauche fashion shows were staged, let the guide lead you along the traces of Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé. This exclusive walk reveals the iconic places, inspirations, and behind-the-scenes moments of a saga that left an indelible mark on fashion history.
