Want to rediscover the Palace of Versailles like you’ve never seen it before? France Télévisions is preparing a special program for the European Heritage Days. To be broadcast on Saturday, September 5, 2026 in prime time on France 2, this TV night "Versailles en fête" will turn the iconic château in Île-de-France into a living stage.
Starting at 9 p.m., viewers will be whisked behind the scenes of this global icon, from the legendary Galerie des Glaces to the Chapelle Royale, via the gardens designed by Le Nôtre at Grand Trianon... These emblematic sites of the château will host musical performances, newly conceived stagings, as well as encounters.
This evening, blending heritage, music and contemporary creation—with anecdotes, historical revelations and surprising discoveries—will be hosted by Stéphane Bern.
On this occasion, numerous artists will perform inside the grounds of the Château de Versailles, offering viewers a fresh facet of the monument. Zazie, Claudio Capéo, Soprano, Christophe Willem, Benjamin Biolay, David Hallyday and Monroe are among those announced. Also on the program are the troupe of Le Roi Soleil, Emmanuel Moire, Louis Delort, Grand Corps Malade, as well as Hélène Ségara and the mezzo-soprano Marine Chagnon.
France Télévisions also announces the presence of the Orchestre de l’Opéra Royal de Versailles, conducted by Victor Jacob, "for performances specially imagined for this exceptional setting". Finally, a firework finale will light up the Versailles sky and thus "close this grand heritage celebration". So, join us on 5 September 2026 at 21:10 for a broadcast on France 2 and on france.tv to follow this unprecedented evening "Versailles en fête".
