This spring, a new musical and gourmet barge is mooring in Paris. Le Son de la Terre, as it is called, awaits music lovers, jazz and world music enthusiasts, in the 5th arrondissement to offer them a unique experience combining concerts, bistronomic table and cocktail bar.

For a few years now, cultural and artistic barges have been multiplying on the Seine. After Fluctuart, dedicated to urban arts, and before a new floating barge dedicated this time to contemporary photography, get ready to discover Le Son de la Terre. If the terrace will open in May, the whole place will welcome its first visitors in June 2023.

But then, what exactly should we expect? Moored at the foot of Notre-Dame cathedral, in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, this new barge intends to put music in the spotlight. But beware, not just any music. Sponsored by the famous musician and singer Thomas Dutronc, the barge Le Son de la Terre wants to put jazz and world music in the forefront.

Described as " a contemporary place open to the world ", accessible 7 days a week, Le Son de la Terre has a surface area of 300 m² on two levels, and can accommodate 280 people inside, 220 of whom can be seated, without forgetting the 60 people seated on the terrace.

Inside? A stage dedicated to jazz and world music, with renowned artists and future talents, as shown by the first confirmed names this summer: Hubert Mayo Trio on June 14, Kris Samé on June 17, Duo Landry+ on June 25 or Kicca and Oscar Marchioni on July 23 and 26. Also Pierre Bertrand, Mario Canonge, Thierry Fanfan, Philippe Sellam, Louis Winsberg, Francis Lockwood, Anbessa sextet, David Patrois... In short, many styles will be honored on the barge Le Son de la Terre: jazz, reggae, swing, klezmer music, Latin rhythms, soul, folk, Cuban salsa, funk...

But that's not all, since this barge not only intends to seduce your eyes and ears with these concerts offered from Wednesday to Sunday, but also to fill your taste buds with the opening of a bistronomic table. On the menu? A modern cuisine proposed by the chef Alfred Elanga. To accompany these dishes inspired by world cuisines, head for one of the two festive bars on the barge, to sip signature cocktails imagined by Jérôme Penfornis.

Finally, Le Son de la Terre unveils a space of experimentation welcoming artists in residence, with workshops, conferences, and partnerships with music schools, conservatories...

So, are you ready to come aboard the barge Le Son de la Terre? See you in May to enjoy the terrace, then in June to discover the rest of this new cultural and festive spot honoring jazz and world music in Paris!
