Creator of the legendary "Final Fantasy" series, Nobuo Uematsu is also the mastermind behind many other iconic video game soundtracks, including "Super Smash Bros. Brawl."
With a lifelong passion for music, Nobuo Uematsu began playing the piano at just 12 years old. After composing scores for various commercials, his career took a decisive turn in 1985 when he started creating music for several Square video games, including the iconic "Final Fantasy." His epic and orchestral compositions quickly captivated audiences worldwide.
Despite his extensive work as the composer behind the iconic "Final Fantasy" series, Nobuo Uematsu has also managed to release two solo studio albums: "Phantasmagoria" in 1994 and "Nobuo Uematsu no "Ten Short Stories"" in 2010. The Japanese composer also teamed up in 1998 for the project "Ten Plants", collaborating with other renowned figures in the industry.
After performing at numerous concerts around the globe, particularly dedicated to Final Fantasy, he decided to take a break from his career for health reasons. This spring, Nobuo Uematsu makes his highly anticipated return to the stage with an exceptional tour called Contiki Show.
