The Romanian Cultural Institute is taking part in this year's Spring of Poets in Paris, inviting you to enjoy a free artistic experience on March 19, 2026, at the Hôtel de Béhague.

Located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, just a stone’s throw from the Champ-de-Mars, the Romanian Cultural Institute offers a vibrant glimpse into Romanian culture. It also highlights the strong ties between the two countries through a variety of public events and workshops. The Institute also takes part in major national and international initiatives, such as European Heritage Days and the Poetry Spring.

The Spring of Poets is an international event launched in 1999 by the French Ministry of Culture. Its goal is to introduce the public to the vibrant and diverse world of poetry. To achieve this, museums, libraries, bookstores, literary cafés, monuments, and theaters host a variety of activities. Attendees can enjoy concerts, meet-and-greets, open mic sessions for aspiring poets, film screenings, games, competitions, and more...

The Romanian Cultural Institute is taking part in this grand poetry celebration. The venue invites us to join on March 19, 2026 to experience a special piece of work that promises to resonate across generations. The event is free, but reservation is required. It’s also worth noting that while the activity is organized by the Institute, it will take place at the Hôtel de Béhague, home to the Romanian Embassy in France.

Clara Cernat and pianist Thierry Huillet have joined forces to transform Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons into a musical storytelling experience dedicated to the Francophonie. Composed by Thierry Huillet and written by Clara Cernat for the tricentennial of Vivaldi’s masterpiece, this poetic and luminous journey invites audiences into a world where language and music intertwine. The familiar themes of Vivaldi blend with reimagined melodies and original compositions by Huillet, reflecting the richness and diversity of the French-speaking world.
More than three centuries after its debut, The Four Seasons remains one of classical music’s cornerstones. Its universal appeal—an ode to nature that resonates beyond borders and languages—prompted Romanian violinist and viola player Clara Cernat to reinvent it and dedicate her version to the Francophonie.
Through the delicate interplay of musicianship and the evocative narration of Pauline Cheviller, the audience will rediscover this monumental work in a new light. An evening where music and theatre merge to take you on a vibrant voyage through the history of the violin, the changing seasons, and the Francophone world.
