Matsuri at the Parc Floral de Paris: A Japanese immersion in Paris' Parc Floral

From May 8 to 10, 2026, come and sample an authentic slice of Japanese street food, wander among stalls staffed by passionate artisans, and groove to free concerts. It will also be a unique opportunity to admire the Parc Floral de Paris’s prestigious bonsai collection. A must-attend event for lovers of Japanese culture and of nature alike.

The 2026 Matsuri edition, taking place from Friday, May 8 to Sunday, May 10, 2026. This unmissable rendezvous turns the Parc Floral de Paris into a genuine Tokyo district or Kyoto for a long weekend.

What’s on for the 2026 edition:

  • Japanese street food : An authentic tasting journey featuring bentos, onigiri, taiyakis, takoyakis and the famed Japanese sponge cake.

  • Artisans and Creators: Stalls dedicated to traditional and contemporary Japanese craftsmanship, from textiles to handiwork.

  • Concerts and Shows: The Parc Floral de Paris stage offers free concerts over the three days, blending traditional music with modern, global sounds.

  • The Bonsai Collection: A grand finale with the first permanent public bonsai collection in Europe. A serene showcase of horticultural excellence at the Parc Floral de Paris.

The event is free to attend, but entry to Parc Floral de Paris is paid: €2.80 for adults / €1.60 for half-price.

Japanese sword demonstrations by the school: Futsu Nushi No Kami. (Free) at 11:00 and 14:00 (45 minutes)

Contemporary dance performances by choreographer: Tomo MURANAKA. (Free) 3:30 PM (15–20 minutes)

Tea ceremony by: Aiko NAKANO and Hideko TETSU (Paid, sign-up required) at 1 PM and 3 PM (45 minutes)

Shakuhachi initiation by Stéphane JEAN / UNSUI SHAKUHACHI – Saturday, May 9, from 1 PM to 3 PM.

  • Visit to the Parc Floral de Paris bonsai collection.

Admire Europe’s very first permanent public bonsai collection (established 1989). Discover multi-centennial trees carefully tended by the Parc Floral de Paris specialists.
