Espace Gohan, the izakaya in the heart of Paris

In a quiet street in the heart of the 10th arrondissement, discover Espace Gohan, a Japanese restaurant offering a true izakaya-style menu by night. The concept is to share plenty of authentic small plates alongside drinks, and to savor your evening! A must-visit for fans of Japanese cuisine.

L’Espace Gohan

Since opening in October 2024, Espace Gohan has been a Japanese restaurant with a menu that evolves as the day unfolds.

At noon, have your lunch in Japanese style with a teishoku prepared fresh that day. It changes weekly! This is a set meal consisting of a main dish (meat, fish, or vegetarian), with rice, miso soup, and several small sides. We recommend the option with the onigiri!
Laprès-midi, take a relaxing break in the book-café. The atmosphere is calm and there are plenty of Japanese or French books to browse on site. We recommend the matcha latte crafted by the barista, with the dessert of the day always excellent.
In the evening, explore subtle, savory flavors around small Japanese dishes. The chef has designed a menu worthy of a bistronomique restaurant, with a focus on Japan’s regions. The drinks list, featuring regional sake, shōchū, wine, beer, or soft drinks, brightens your night! We suggest booking your table in advance!

The izakaya at Espace Gohan welcomes you in a softly lit setting. On the menu, you’ll find vegetarian dishes accompanied by fish or meat options, and even gluten-free choices. But beware, the menu regularly changes with the seasons!

With the spring menu, expect new plates: roasted asparagus with miso sauce, a katsuo tataki (bonito), a sunomono (cucumber, seaweed and octopus) salad, and more. And in addition, new summer drinks are on the menu, such as the Spring Shiso cocktail made with sake and shiso! The venue is perfect for a night out with friends, family, or even a romantic evening.
