We pushed open the door of J.K. Place Paris, on Rue de Lille in the 7th arrondissement, and we left with a strong urge to return. Hidden in this former European consulate reinvented as a boutique hotel by the Italian group J.K. Place, the Casa Tua restaurant leans into discretion with impressive success. About fifty covers, an intimate yet vibrant dining room, a vegetated patio for warmer days: far from the boulevard’s bustle, just steps from the Orsay Museum.
The Casa Tua concept, born in Miami, was envisioned as a private club where people come together to share, eat, and feel at home. In Paris, the group J.K. Place’s flagship venue faithfully recreates that philosophy in the hushed drawing rooms of the Left Bank. The decor, by Italian designer Michele Bönan, blends vintage finds, noble materials, and works of art with a confident ease. This isn’t a hotel dining room in the strict sense: it’s a living space, warm and distinctive, away from the Parisian bustle.
The menu isn't trying to reinvent the wheel—and that's precisely what we gladly forgive it for. Creamy burrata, vitello tonnato, cacio e pepe, perfectly golden Milanese cutlet, hearty bolognese: the great Italian classics are here, prepared with care. The pastas are made in-house, the focaccia comes out golden all the way through, and the fish arrive whole. A large share of the ingredients are imported directly from Italy, selected by chef Ivan Ferrara from small producers with whom he has built strong working relationships over the years. It’s this attention to detail that makes the meal sing.
We appreciated the intimate, neatly kept setting, which lets you dine well without feeling like you’re in a stuffy restaurant. The Italian wine cellar, complemented by fine French labels, adds a fitting touch to the overall experience.
Beyond dinner, the restaurant has smartly designed two formats for local Parisians. On weekdays, Monday through Friday, a rotating Italian daily special refreshed by arrivals lets you lunch quickly and well, from €35. A plus for business lunches or quick breaks after a visit to the nearby Quai Branly Museum.
In the evening, it’s time for an aperitivo all'italiana: saffron arancini, golden supplì, carefully selected charcuterie, all accompanied by Mediterranean cocktails. The terrace-patio is the perfect excuse to linger as the first warm days arrive. The amuse-bouche menu ranges from €12 to €24.
This is a spot that speaks to lovers of authentic Italian cuisine who want an elegant, unpretentious setting, away from crowded trattorias. It’s ideal for a intimate dinner for two as well as a business meal in a subdued, sophisticated atmosphere. We recommend arriving at aperitivo time to test the patio before settling at a table. Note: the venue is discreet, so booking is best done by calling the restaurant directly at 01 40 60 40 20, or via the site J.K.place.paris. The restaurant is open every day, for lunch and dinner.
