A stone’s throw from the Madeleine Church, Yeni is now a welcoming Turkish spot that has been courting fans of sun-kissed, flavorful cuisine since late 2025. A convivial dining room, perfect for an evening aperitif around mezze, where the hospitality is as warm as the dishes.

In the kitchen, it's Esin, the founder, who conceived the project. A beaming smile, a home-style welcome, and a special attention to make guests feel comfortable in her restaurant. With her son and Bekir, the second chef of the place, she opened Yisin almost a year ago. Of Turkish origin - like the rest of her team - she wanted to bring to Paris the culinary heritage of her homeland, recipes handed down from generation to generation and reproduced decades later, identical to the original.

Growing up in Gaziantep, a Southeast Turkish city renowned as the world capital of Turkish gastronomy, and even listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site (not to mention that), there was more than enough to whet a kid's appetite.

So, the menu highlights this Eurasian-inspired cuisine, "we know our food well and wanted to offer a menu in that spirit", explains Esin. From vegetarian moussaka cooked with red lentils, to Armenian‑style stuffed peppers, eggplants stuffed with beef, others with mushrooms and gratin with cheese, and chicken stuffed with vegetables... But above all, dishes that Esin learned from her grandmother, such as the lamb shoulder with clarified butter, slow-cooked for four hours at a very low temperature to keep the meat wonderfully tender.

For lunch, it’s a bit cafeteria-style: you pick a meat option or a vegetarian dish, and two sides come with it. Rice, ratatouille, stuffed peppers, a crudité salad, zucchini and walnut tzatziki... Everything is homemade, prepared daily, with very fresh ingredients that are perfectly seasoned.

For dessert, Yeni serves baklavas, straight from Gaziantep, where Esin sources them directly (though, with the scorching summer heat, baklavas aren’t available in the summer to guarantee top quality). Also on offer are pâte de sésame aux pistaches (the famous halva), rice pudding, and more. Not to be missed are the Turkish tea (çay, an everyday staple in Turkish culture) and the Turkish coffee, with its subtle, nuanced flavor.

Yeni also boasts a belle carte de vins, with many natural wines (all of French origin, though): as evening sets in or for afterwork, this is where you settle in to enjoy a good glass of wine with house-made mezzes. Expect 15 € à 16 € pour un plat avec ses accompagnements (lamb is pricier) and 13 € pour un plat végétarien (lunch service runs from 11h30 to 14h30), plan 15 € for an assortment of mezzés, 7 € for a glass of wine, 12 € for a cocktail in the evening (from 17h30).

A standout address, gourmet and inviting, with delicious cuisine and a five‑star welcome that makes you want to keep coming back in the Madeleine district.
