Ephemera's immersive restaurant in Val d'Europe, Seine-et-Marne, is set in an enchanted forest. In a magical setting, Wonderwoods combines themed dishes, magical creatures and colorful fireflies, for a taste experience that borders on the spectacular.

In recent years, a new type of restaurant has opened its doors in the capital, offering immersion in a unique theme, where the decoration is pushed to the limit, just like the menu. Ephemera has offered us Under the Sea, Stellar and Jungle Palace, but for its new immersive restaurant, the brand is moving out of Paris and into the Seine-et-Marne region, in Val d'Europe, in the indoor leisure spot Imagipark, which came into being in 2025.

On the menu, an enchanted forest, where the heart of the animated undergrowth reigns. At Wonderwoods, you'll enjoy nature-themed dishes sprinkled with a little magic, amid tall, luminous trees and colorful fireflies, surrounded by vaporous animals and magical creatures. A stroll through nature, where the charming, lush decor changes mood with video-mapping and sound and light effects, somewhere between Alice in Wonderland and the Forest of Broceliande.

Around 200 guests can enjoy lunch and dinner in the heart of this ever-changing natural environment, by reservation only. Before entering this fantastical lair, an outdoor set transports the elves of the day into a magical world, and keeps them waiting as a long queue forms at the entrance, despite the need to reserve in advance. We then enter the heart of the enchanted kingdom, guided by Estelle through this wooded labyrinth in subdued light, a grand banquet in the middle of the forest.

On the à la carte (digital) menu, the treasures of nature and the earth, such as truffles, are showcased in a sometimes playful presentation, in leaf-shaped plates or on giant mushrooms, for an even more successful immersion. Like the original cocktails served in surprising containers, such as theArbre Enchanté, with its notes of citrus and spices, or the Coup de Patte with its beehive-like appearance, very smooth thanks to the presence of honey to soften the whisky.

Inn mugs, colorful peacocks and engraved glasses can also accommodate beers and ciders, elf lemonade and other elixirs and potions. To start, we share a roasted camembert, accompanied by honey and hazelnuts, melting and gourmet to perfection, but a little small for its price, 12 euros all the same, as well as an Apulian burrata (12.5€), literally presented on a bed of truffled mushrooms with a taste a little too discreet, which makes its effect since it arrives on a small mushroom!

On the main course, there's a great selection of vegetarian dishes for those who prefer it, including pasta topped with a truffled comté cream (16.5€) or rigatoni with gorgonzola cream, stracciatella and crushed walnuts (15€), comforting and generous dishes that fill the stomach perfectly. But also three different fish dishes, as well as a grilled flank steak with pepper sauce, very tender (21€) and a poultry fillet with truffle jus, which you can feel much better than in other dishes that contain truffles (20€).

To finish off the forest walk, we opted for a pannacotta (7.5€) revisited with Madagascar vanilla, poached pears and almond crumble, a delicate and fruity dessert, perfect for a sweet end to the meal, and a creamy chocolate mousse (6.5€) topped with caramelized hazelnuts and meringue slivers, which add crunch, brought on the antlers of a silver stag, original!

An enchanted interlude that's a feast for the eyes, thought out down to the smallest detail! While the dishes don't aim to compete with the finest tables, they do fit imaginatively into this immersive stroll, where visitors come first and foremost for the décor, ambience and magic of the place, which will undoubtedly appeal to families, as children easily marvel at the spectacle. It's an experience to be enjoyed like a life-size fairy tale, with a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds!
