Each year, March 20th marks the International Meatless Day 2026. This global observance predates the recent, pressing debates surrounding and climate change, aiming to encourage a wide audience worldwide to join in the movement.
Indeed, the International Day Without Meat was first established in 1985 (!) in the United States. It was introduced as 'Meat-Out Day' by the Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM), an organization that has been advocating for meat-free diets for decades. Their mission also focuses on animal rights, environmental preservation, and promoting better human health.
