Maison Giardino now offers its plant-based and often gluten-free creations in a charming tea room in the heart of Paris's 17th arrondissement. Sweet treats as beautiful as they are tasty, imagined by pastry chef Matteo Deiana, to enjoy on the spot or to take away, without sacrificing any of the pleasure.

For almost a year,Atelier Giardino has been offering plant-based pastries for delivery and click & collect, but since June 2025, pastry chef Matteo Deiana has set up shop for good in Les Batignolles, with a lovely tea room where you can also take sweet treats to go.

In addition to being vegan, many of our pastries are also gluten-free, a real treat for the growing number of intolerant and allergic eaters, who won't have to cut back on their sweet tooth!

At Maison Giardino, where customers can observe the workshop from the other side of the glass, in complete transparency, the products used are local and seasonal, in a short circuit, in a sustainable and ethical approach. Milk-, butter- and egg-free, the pastries are of course made on the premises, to be enjoyed at home or on the premises, amidst a natural, modern decor, in a luminous space.

On the menu: macaroons in 12 different flavors, cakes, cookies and entremets with original tastes! Seasonal creations include Cajoumisu, the famous Italian dessert reinvented as a plant-based dessert, Matchamisu, Pistakio with a pistachio from Sicily, gourmet Nocciola with Piedmont hazelnuts, Rose Rhubarbe and the Tarte Fraise Jasmin, which we opted for. Sprinkled with fresh strawberries, its crème montée is delicately perfumed and light, in a gluten-free tart with very little sugar.

The textures are the same as on a"normal" pastry, and that's the strength of vegan today. If you don't say it, no one will suspect it's vegan! We also tested the Citron Maquis cake, with its Corsican and floral flavors, an astonishing creation linked to the field of perfumery, which skilfully blends lavender, immortelle and cistus, for a tangy, sweet and honeyed aroma.

For macaron lovers, you're spoilt for choice between fruit, salted caramel, yuzu, pistachio or even cappuccino, available individually or in boxes of 5, 12 or 24 pieces (from 2 to 42€). The taste of almonds is perfectly reflected in the creamy pastry, even if the flavors themselves are rather light on the palate.

In summer, enjoy artisanal ice creams with sometimes unexpected flavors, such as melon, lime basil or lavender and peach! Serve with a latte, coffee, lemonade, tea (hot or iced) or a delicious fruit juice.

Whether you're intolerant or not, here the vegetarian pastries are refined and have something for every palate, from 4 to 7 euros for the most expensive sweets!
